2016-17 SEASON AUDITIONS

Peach State Opera, Georgia’s premiere touring opera company, will hold auditions on Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22, 2016 in Atlanta, GA for the two productions of its 2016-17 season.  Help us share the thrill of live opera with small communities in Georgia and beyond:

1.  PSO will present a fully-staged, English language touring production of Puccini’s Tosca. There will be two touring periods (September-October 2016 and January-February 2017).  Major roles will be double-cast.  Blocking rehearsals will occur in early August.

2.  PSO produces occasional scenes programs (arias and ensembles) called “Operatizers.”  These programs are presented in the Atlanta area at local venues.

Performances will be primarily on the weekends.  Peach State Opera provides a stipend for each performance, as well as housing for the tour dates.  PLEASE NOTE: Peach State Opera does NOT provide housing or travel allowances for the music rehearsal and blocking rehearsal periods.  All rehearsals are in Atlanta, Georgia.

Please send audition requests, with an attached PDF version of your resume, to Artistic Director Evelyn Hughes at pso.auditions@comcast.net.  The deadline for requesting an audition is Friday, April 29.
