Peach State Opera, Georgia’s premier touring opera company, will hold auditions on Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20, 2018 in Atlanta, GA for its 2018-19 touring production of Puccini’s La bohème.  Help us share the thrill of live opera with small communities in Georgia and beyond!  This will be a slightly abridged, English language production with two tour periods: a fall tour (select weekends in September and October 2018) and a winter tour (select weekends in January and February 2019).  Blocking rehearsals will occur August 6-11.  If possible, roles will be double-cast, and those singers will have the option of choosing the fall tour period or the winter tour period.

Singers are paid per performance, and housing is provided for each of the tour weekends.  PLEASE NOTE: Peach State Opera does NOT provide housing or travel allowances for the music rehearsal and blocking rehearsal periods.  All rehearsals are in Atlanta, Georgia.

** Singers must bring a hard copy of their resume, an 8X10 headshot, and a $20 audition fee with them to the audition. Singers should present at least two memorized arias in contrasting styles from opera or operetta.  PLEASE NOTE: One of the arias must be in English. Singers auditioning for Mimi, Musetta, Rodolfo, or Marcello must also offer a “verismo” aria, preferably by Puccini.
