RUTH BROOKS, soprano, is an active performer based in the Atlanta area. She recently performed the role of Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) with the Southwest Virginia Opera and is excited to be making her debut with Peach State Opera this Fall singing Donna Anna (Don Giovanni). In 2014, she made her debut with Pensacola Opera singing Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium). She also performed the role of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) twice with both the Harrower Summer Opera and the Opera Breve Vocal Intensive in TX. Miss Brooks completed her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Florida State University and while there performed the role of Lauretta in their mainstage production of Gianni Schicchi and the role of Adina (The Elixir of Love) for Opera Outreach. Her other roles include Anna Maurrant (Street Scene), Zorah (Ruddigore), and Pitti-Sing (The Mikado).
