Rachel Eve Holmes is thrilled to begin her term as Executive Director of Peach State Opera. As a previous performer with PSO (Mimì, La bohème; Micaëla, Carmen), Dr. Holmes is no stranger to the operations of the company. With a passion for Arts Administration and Education, she feels poised for the challenge of increasing PSO’s visibility and viability in the Southeast and beyond!

Rachel Eve’s background in Arts Administration and Education includes previous teaching positions at the University of Delaware, University of Georgia, and Colorado State University. She has also served as the Assistant Stage Director with Stafford Opera Troupe in Stafford, Virginia, as well as Program Coordinator of Grace Presents Recital Series in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Holmes is currently on faculty with United Music Studios, and is the Director of Opera at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia.

In her “other life” as an operatic performer, Rachel Eve has performed nearly seventy opera, oratorio, and musical theatre roles with companies and symphonies around the country. She also holds twenty-one First Place and Grand prizes from national and international opera competitions. Dr. Holmes earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Opera from the University of Georgia, Colorado State University, and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
