Carter Joseph has been a lover of opera all his life and says Mozart is his hero. Carter has been giving informative, enriching and entertaining talks for The Atlanta Opera for 30 years. His humor and insights reveal what makes opera relevant to our times, yet timeless. For his contribution as an outstanding public speaker for opera, he has been honored by The Atlanta Opera as its first Volunteer of the Year (and three times afterward), plus he received its first Rachel Rosen Lehmann award and was made an honorary member of the board as further recognition for the value of his talks.

Be sure to arrive at Perimeter College-Clarkston campus in plenty of time to park and find the room, because Carter’s talk last year was SRO: ‘standing room only.’
