David Araujo is a Brazilian tenor with a MM from Georgia State University and a BM from Universidade de São Paulo. He performed Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Don Ramiro (La Cenerentola), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Mr. Upfold (Albert Herring), Bastien (Bastien und Bastienne) and covered Nanki-Poo (The Mikado). His partial roles and scenes include Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Tonio (La Fille du Regiment), Nemorino (L’Elisir d’amore), Tamino and Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Lucio Silla (Lucio Silla), Nerone and Liberto (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Nadir (Les Pêcheurs de Perles), Candide (Candide) and Sam (Susannah). In concerts he performed Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy in C minor Op. 80, Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living, Kodály’s Missa Brevis, Mozart’s Solemn Mass in C minor KV 139 and Mass in C minor K. 427/417a. David has performed in the USA, Canada, Germany and Brazil. Has performed on Master Classes with Lawrence Brownlee, Matthew Polenzani, Sherrill Milnes, Neil Shicoff, William Burden and Adrianne Pieczonka.
