Joylýn Rushing has performed with Opera Birmingham, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Conway Symphony Orchestra, the Delta Symphony Orchestra, Opera in the Rock, Opera in the Ozarks, and Operafestival di Roma. Her roles include Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Lucy in The Telephone, Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore, Parasha in Stravinsky’s Mavra, Ginger Taylor in Liam Wade’s Part of the Act, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. She performed as a young artist with Sarasota Opera and Opera North. Miss Rushing completed her undergraduate degree at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and her master’s degree at the University of Central Arkansas.
