Samuel Cotten
Baritone Samuel Cotten proudly joins Peach State Opera as Antonio in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. He most recently appeared as the Baron of Pictordu in Franklin Light Opera’s inaugural production of Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon. Before Covid, he appeared as Smith in Kurt Weil’s The Threepenny Opera with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, where he also appeared in Turandot and Brigadoon. Other recent roles include Tonio in Pagliacci with Main Street Opera, Tomsky, Yeletsky and Surin in The Queen of Spades with Russian Opera Workshop, the title role in Gianni Schicchi with Miami Music Festival, and Masetto in Don Giovanni with Petite Opera Productions. He has also twice performed Count Almaviva in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. Originally from Newnan, Georgia, he received his Master’s in Voice & Opera from Northwestern University and currently resides in Evanston, Illinois where he studies with Allan Glassman.
