KATHLEEN FARRAR BUCCLEUGH, soprano, of Birmingham, Ala., is an accomplished young artist with a performance history reflecting her versatility in opera, oratorio, musical theatre and recital repertoire. Ms. Buccleugh recently performed the role of Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Opera Breve in New York City. She also sang in recital for Auburn (Ala.) Music Club and for Opera Breve’s Here Come the English concert in New York City. In July and August, she performed as a soloist and ensemble member in Red Mountain Theatre Company’s production of Les misérables and covered the role of Fantine. Recent highlights for Ms. Buccleugh include performing Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro in July and a residency with Natchez Opera Festival in spring 2013. She was a featured soloist with Amici – Young Friends of Opera Birmingham in concert and with Opera Breve at The National Opera Center in New York City in 2013.
